- i’m so thankful my friend grabbed me by the neck and INSISTED i listen to the new ikon song. as a YG optimist for literally one (1) year (2014), it’s been hard to convince me to give ikon a second chance, especially when their creative core left them. but but you is… so good?? a big part of my surprise might come from me liking a recorded version of an ikon song, because i’ve always felt ikon/ team b’s lives >>>>>>> any of their recorded stuff. i guess love scenario is probably the exception, but it is literally the national anthem
- tomboy has grown on me so much, when it first came out i thought it was really basic? but, as probably the entire cohort of korean university students would agree, there’s something so viscerally fun about yelling YEAH IM FUCKING TOMBOY.
- with 150 (??) scrobbles on svt you would’ve thought hot would be in my top tracks but i think i played the MV a million times instead of streaming it on spotify… look, HOT was hot, and i’m just a little bit sorry for my sins. yes it is noise music but i am noise music enjoyer who loves a good siren. the album is okay, but whether i’d buy it to get into a fansign…
📼 watching
- made the most of my dropout.tv subscription by finishing the seven, which i loved. looking back i realise it’s because it played to all of my favourite magical girl tropes… me and my friends will yell and bicker with each other while we save the world AND get our high school diplomas. the way the theme of mirrors played out even without (?) prior planning just truly (chefs kiss). i love ostentatia so much even if irl i’d be scared shitless of her, but alas that’s just me and my love for ah lian like characters…
- also thank u comeback season for mental wellness. hoshi’s pixid episode was ADORABLE but also stressful because he’s really such a himbo. also mmtg x gose the most ambitious crossover event of all time. not to have marketing disease but i rly wonder if they did demographic research and realised that the old school variety show concept would perfectly snipe folks in their late 20s. ok, maybe it just sniped me, a person who a decade ago had to watch strong heart on my aunt’s cable tv with chinese subtitles that i couldn’t read fast enough. so be it man.

i’ve already reached my reading goals for the year so i don't have to read anymore amirite? :-)I’m about twenty pages into a certain exposure so again i have no strong opinions yet. though i have skimmed the book and i already know it’s gonna fuck me up lmfao
💬 and other things
literally at the beginning of this month i was a person who Did Not Exercise but now i am considering buying a longboard?? but also it’s the most fun i’ve had exercising (using this is the loosest sense of the word to refer to A Thing I Have To Do Outside While Sweating) in such a long time. so investing in one is worth it… right?also feels like i can justify clocking off work on time to go outside if i am actually exercising, and i’m less likely to push it off cos i actually WANT to do it. of course, trying to do the same amount of work without OTing is… (laughs) adulthood is a fucking scam.
